Advantages of Escomatic Machining:

In Escomatic machining, the coil metal stock does not rotate but is turned using a rotating toolhead which turns around the material and thus removes shavings. This is variation of standard Swiss style turning which uses spindle-held rotating bar stock.

  • In Escomatic machining, as the stock is fed through the machine, it is straightened, and then moved into bushings that are the same size as the stock. The bushings support allows the Escomatic machine to hold a very tight concentricity for the length of the part.
  • Escomatic machining concept minimizes vibrations, allowing for extremely high precision parts.
  • The continuously fed self-straightening coil stock reduces the turning needed to achieve the desired diameter. Escomatic machining has excellent repeatability throughout mass production.
