Stainless Steel 440C Balls

AISI 440C, a martensitic steel material, can be hardened due to its high carbon to chromium ratio. Thus, 440C balls offer excellent hardness, corrosion-resistance, precise geometry and fine surface finish. These balls are thus used extensively in bearings, miniature bearing, and valves in the computer and home electronics, petroleum refineries, severe environmental applications, automotive and aerospace industries.

Properties: Rockwell "C" hardness of 58-65, Density 7.68g/cm3 or 0.277 lbs/in3, Magnetic

Stainless Steel 316 Balls

AISI 316, an austenitic steel material, contains higher nickel and molybdenum content. Thus, 316 balls offer better toughness in high temperatures, and better corrosion resistance in organic, acid, industrial and marine environment. 316 balls can be hardened by annealing, and they are non-magnetic. These balls are used extensively in textile finishing, fishing reel bearing, printing equipment, body jewellery, food processing, dental hand piece bearing and medical applications including lasers, centrifuges, surgical instruments, robotic arms, and diagnostic equipment.

Properties: Rockwell "C" hardness of 25-39 (cold worked), Rockwell "B" hardness of 75-90 (annealed), Density 7.97g/cm3 or 0.288 lbs/in3, Non-Magnetic

Stainless Steel 302 Balls

Similar to AISI 316, AISI 302, an austenitic steel material, offers excellent toughness and corrosion resistance. This steel is capable of resisting corrosion by oxidizing solutions, most organic chemicals, food stuffs and sterilizing solutions. It is only moderately resistant to sulfuric acids. AISI 302 stainless steel balls are used in aerosol sprays, finger pump mechanism, food processing equipment and medical applications.

Properties: Rockwell "C" hardness of 25-39 (cold worked), Rockwell "B" hardness of 75-90 (annealed), Density 7.93g/cm3 or 0.286 lbs/in3, Non-Magnetic
